Euro 2020: Milan Skriniar Scores Winning Goal As Slovakia Pip Ten-Man Poland

Inter Milan defender, Milan Skriniar scored the winning goal as Slovakia defeated ten-man Poland 2-1 to kick off their Euro 2020 Group E campaign on a winning note.

In the 18th minute, Polish goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny sends the ball into his net after a crazy goalmouth scramble for Slovakia's first goal of the game.

In the second half, Poland equalised with superb team play.

Karol Linetty latches on to a perfect pass and fires an excellent low cross into the middle of the net to equalise for Poland.

In the 62nd minute, referee Ovidiu Hategan blows his whistle and Poland's Grzegorz Krychowiak is shown a second yellow card after a foul.

Slovakia made the numerical advantage count in the 69th minute as Milan Skriniar scored the winning goal.

He was at the right place at the right time to get to a rebound inside the box and gleefully rifles the ball into the left side of the post.

Slovakia moves to the top of Group E table with three points from their first game ahead of Spain's clash with Sweden.

Slovakia will play Sweden in their next game on June 18, 2021, while Poland will face Spain on June 19, 2021.
