Nike has been the official maker of the Premier League match ball since the 2000/2001 season when it took over from Ultimax.

The new ball christened the 'Nike Flight', is the second in the Nike Flight series, which was introduced in the 2020/2021 season.

The new design of the match ball, according to the press release, represents the excitement and the connection of the Premier League in the world.

Facts About Premier League Balls

An interesting fact about the Premier League that most fans do not know, is that the official match ball of a season comes in two designs, one for summer and the other for winter.

The summer ball is the first to be unveiled at the beginning of the season while the winter ball - which normally has an orange/yellow colour - is introduced when winter starts.

The reason for the practice is to increase the visibility of the ball under the dark winter clouds.
