Manchester United forward ready to leave club for a cheaper fee in January

Manchester United football club remain keen on lifting their first major trophy under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and have splashed the cash during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils want to compete with Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea and have added the likes of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo to strengthen their squad.

However, that has not gone as planned just yet as Manchester United are currently sitting in 6th position on the Premier League table ahead of their crucial match against Liverpool on Sunday evening.

And coupled with that disappointing start to the season, Manchester United could now be rocked with reports that central midfielder Jesse Lingard is interested in leaving the club next year.

The 28-year-old England International, who joined Manchester United after leaving Penketh United in 2000 has been in and out of the first-team squad over the previous seasons.

The experienced playmaker was sent out on loan to West Ham United last season where he impressed, scoring nine goals and creating five assists in 19 appearances in all competitions for the club.

Jesse Lingard was then called back from his loan spell, but has since find it difficult to break into the Manchester United starting eleven this season.

The forward has made seven appearances in all competitions for the club and has scored two goals while registering one assist in total.

It is believed that Jesse Lingard is disappointed with his lack of regular playing time at the club and he is now interested in a move away when the transfer window opens.

And according to reports from The Sun, Premier League side Everton are interested and are preparing a move to lure him away from Manchester United.

Its no longer news that Everton want to improve their attacking options under manager Rafael Benitez and will aim to sign Jesse Lingard on a cut-price deal when the transfer window opens.

That said, it remains to be seen if Jesse Lingard will continue to see out his playing career at Manchester United or will be interested in a move away so as to play regular first-team football next season.
