Italy Takes On Turkey Tonight In Euro 2020 Opening Game

The stage is set tonight as the biggest crowd are expected to gather at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Italy is aiming for their second European title, as they kick off the tournament with the Turkish team.

The match is expected to kick off by 8 pm. Italy's veteran defender Leonardo Bonucci has stated that football with fans inside the stadium is a different game.

After they failed to qualify for 2018 world cup, Italy won all their qualifying matches for Euro 2020.

Bonucci has stated that other team has more experience but their strength is in their team.

He further added that they don't have Romelu Lukaku or Cristiano Ronaldo, but they are not afraid to play against anyone.

On the other hand, Turkey finished 2nd in group H. They had a remarkable 2 - 0 win over the world cup winners, France and lost just one of their matches.

Turkey coach Senol Gunes has stated that being in this tournament and playing in the opening match makes them proud.

He further added that, In every opening game there are surprises and hopes that they can also spring one.
