Manchester United new signing Amad Diallo (born 11 July 2002), formerly known as Amad Diallo Traoré , is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Manchester United . Nevertheless, Diallo's main strengths are his pace and technical ability. The winger was born in the Ivory Coast, before moving to Italy as a child. He joined the Atalanta youth system in 2015, where he won two Campionato Primavera 1 titles. Diallo scored on his professional debut for Atalanta at the age of 17, in a Serie A game against Udinese in October 2019. In January 2021, he joined English club Manchester United.
Early life
Diallo was born in Abidjan, he moved to Italy at the age of 10 with his brother Hammed who also is a footballer.
Atalanta career
He made his serie A debut in 27 October 2019, and he scored his first goal for Atalanta in a 7-1 home win, which in turn made him became the first player born in 2002. However, his first UEFA Champions League call up came on 11 December 2019 as an unused subtitute in a 3-0 away win against Shakhtar Donesk, his first league game was on 28 Nov 2020 being a substitute against Hellas Verona
However, on 25 October 2020 united agreed a move for Diallo which was latter finalised on 7th January 2021 and he completed his move on deadline day transfer for a €25million
