Manchester United football club were undoubtedly one of the few busy Premier League clubs during the just-concluded summer transfer window.
And that has not quite gone to plan just yet as Manchester United are currently sitted in 6th position on the Premier League table after racking up 14 points from the eight league matches they have played so far.
Coupled with that, Manchester United have also conceded a whopping 10 goals in the Premier League so far and are now looking to fix that leaky defence.
And if reports are anything to go by, then Manchester United are interested in signing Leicester City central midfielder Wesley Fofana in order to improve their defence.
The 20-year-old France International, who joined Leicester City after departing AS Saint-Etienne in 2020 has been an important member of the first-team squad.
The young central defender made 42 appearances in all competitions during the 2020/2021 season where he helped his club win the FA Cup.
However, Wesley Fofana suffered a leg injury during Leicester City's pre-season match against Villareal in August and has not made any competitive appearances since then.
And despite that, his excellent performances in the heart of defence has caught the attention of Manchester United and according to reports from The Sun, the Old Trafford side are keen on signing him.
The reports further claimed that Manchester United have made Wesley Fofana a priority transfer target and are preparing to make a move for him.
That said, it remains to be seen if Wesley Fofana will continue his developments at Leicester City or be interested in a move to Manchester United when the transfer window opens.
