The argentine and Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi may be the greatest beneficiary from the cancellation of 2020 Ballon d'Or award.
The award which was officially announced earlier today not to be given to any player due to this year COVID-19 which have directly or indirectly affected the 2019/2020 footballing season.
Even though Lionel Messi is the highest goal scorer and provide the assist in the 2019/20 SpanishLa Liga, it is still believed that his performance this year is not up to Par.
It might have been glaring that the Barcelona forward will not be able to scoop the Ballon d'Or for this season after winning it for the sixth times last season.
Since the award has been cancelled for the season, lionel Messi might have been one of the few players who will benefited from the cancellation as he would not have been able o win it in the first instance.
In your own opinion, do you think Lionel Messi will still be able to win the Ballon d'Or again in the future?
