Former FC Barcelona right back Dani Alves has revealed that is intention was to prove himself outside the club and then return to Barça.
Dani Alves suffered a painful exit from Barça after the Barça board push him out of the club. Although he left Barça on a high note after years of success since joining from sevilla in 2008 but he intended to prove himself outside and return to the club
Since then, Barcelona have failed to sign a proper replacement for the right back with Alex Vidal failing to fit the shoe and Nelson Semedo not hitting the level Barça really need.
He said 'When I left Barça, I thought of going to another club to prove myself again and then return back to Barcelona."
Barcelona have failed to sign proper replacements for most positions that was left by 2011 set and it's one of many reasons Barcelona has been so poor in recent times.
Dani Alves moved to Juventus in 2016 before joining PSG after just a year in Juventus. Alves currently plays at Sao Paulo in his home town in Brazil.
