WAFU U20: Pinnick Wishes Flying Eagles Luck As They Face Rivals Ghana

President, Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, wishes Flying Eagles best of luck ahead of 2020 WAFU B U20 Cup of Nations Group B game against Ghana staring 4pm later in the day at the Stade Charles de Gaulles in Port Novo, Republic of Benin.

In a statement on his official Twitter handle, the former Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission lent his support for the Ladan Bosso's team against their archrivals.

The statement read: "The Flying Eagles have a duel with our archrivals Ghana in the WAFU U-20 tournament by 4pm today and it's a must-win encounter for our lads. Wishing them the best of luck."

Flying Eagles were forced to 1-1 draw in their opening game on Sunday, with Ousmane Traore stoppage-time goal helping the young Elephants to a share of the spoils after Nigeria defender, Christopher Nwaeze was sent off for rough play by the referee in the keenly contested game.

A win in today's game takes Nigeria to the semi-finals of the tournament, which serves as qualifiers for the 2021 African U20 African Cup of Nations in Mauritania, where to determine Africa's representatives for the 2021 FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia.
