Apparently, the Blaugranas are currently going through a lot of struggle in the squad, as they have been dazzling awfully in all competitions, especially their performance against Bayern Munich and Granada on Monday. Of course, Barcelona haven't been able to gather themselves together, in the absence of Lionel Messi.
As regards the 2021-2022 campaign, the Ronald Koeman's side don't have enough brilliant and talented players in the squad. Therefore, they may not go far this season, because it isn't easy to adapt to their new life without the Argentine in the team. Nevertheless, the likes of Memphis Depay, Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembélé and the rest are able to turn things around positively.
Having said all that, there are three players Barcelona should bring to Camp Nou next summer, in order to balance their squad's all-around display. Of course, Joan Laporta won't be happy if the club continues to dazzle unimpressively in 2022-2023. As a result of that, these three footballers have the ability and capability to bolster their team's performance.
Financially, the Blaugranas still have some puzzles to solve at the club, but they should be able to complete some new big transfers next year. Regardless of how they settle the Dutch manager's case this season, Barcelona will still need to build their team around these players, to be able to restore their lost glory in Europe's top-5 leagues.
1. Erling Haaland
Obviously, Barcelona are playing without a natural striker due to Sergio Agüero's absence in the squad. So, Memphis Depay was forced to play as a central-forward, instead of his normal left-wing position. As a result of that, Barcelona should sign the Norwegian wizard next summer, so as to boost their frontline. Of course, Joan Laporta has a good relationship with Mino Raiola, who is Haaland's agent, which means the deal may come easily for the Bluagranas. Potentially, Depay is indeed a dangerous attacker, but he needs a brilliant striker in front. That's why Barcelona need to go for Erling in 2022. Meanwhile, they would face competition with Real Madrid, Manchester United and the rest, but Laporta's relationship with the player's agent may make the deal happen. Without a doubt, the Catalans need to sign big and brilliant players, in order to compete with their major rivals in the world of football.
2. Paul Pogba
As the Frenchman's contract ends at Old Trafford next year, he's most likely to leave Manchester United because he hasn't signed a new deal. Reportedly, the likes of PSG and Juventus are already linked with him, because of his ability and capability in the midfield. With that being said, Barcelona need a box-to-box midfielder like Paul Pogba in their team, as Frankie De Jong and Pedri González can't do the job alone. Fortunately, the Frenchman agent is Mino Raiola, and that's another big opportunity for Joan Laporta to land the French international next summer. With Pogba's versatility, he can play as a DM, AM or CM just to upgrade Barcelona's midfield setup. In other words, the Ole Gunnar Solskjær's side are not ready to leave him, because they are working hard to extend his contract. However, Paul Pogba can not resist the Blaugranas offer, if they really want him next summer.
3. Dani Olmo
The LaLiga side don't have a standard attacking midfielder at the moment, as they can't depend on Phillippe Coutinho. As a result of that, Barcelona should get the Spaniard's signature next summer, in order to have a balanced and composed midfield. With the young Spaniard in the squad, Pedri González and Frankie De Jong can play as double defensive midfielders, while he dazzles as a No.10. Dani Olmo is known for his ability to lay unbelievable passes and dribbling skills, because he has many things in common with Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne. With all that being said, the Spanish youngster has the potential to take Barcelona's performance to the next level. According to several reports, the Catalans have already been linked with him, and the player himself wants to come back to Camp Nou, having been the club's academy product.
