3 Times Fans Attacked Their Own Players

Many footballers have been cautioned and attacked by their own fans due to their actions.

(1)Antoine Griezmann:

After Lionel Messi's move from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain due to the club's financial problems, fans blasted Antoine for Messi's departure, they claimed that his high salary weakened the club's probability of extending Lionel Messi's contract.

(2)Romelu Lukaku:

Before Lukaku left Milan to Chelsea, he expressed his gratitude to the Milan fans through his Instagram page, He said "dear Inter fans, thank you for loving me as one of your own. Thank you for the unconditional support and love on a daily basis."

Although Lukaku thanked the Inter Milan fans for caring for him, his mirror in front of the Inter-Milan stadium was defaced.

(3)Gianluigi Donnarumma:

In 2017, he refused to sign a new contract with rumors that Real Madrid were chasing him, so the Milan fans threw fake dollars at him at their next match, and this action forced the keeper to stay.

Last summer, Donnarumma refused to resign with AC Milan with rumors that Juventus and PSG were trying to sign him for free, so the fans stood at the front of the training ground shouting that he should not play again for them until he renews his contract. A banner was aimed at the Goalkeeper saying "be careful, we don't forget traitors."Due to several problems like this, Donnarumma packed his bags and left for PSG.
