UEFA Champions League

He Saved Two Penalties in one Week - Former Laliga Goalkeeper

Paris Saint-Germain eliminated Lille by (3-0) on Wednesday in the Round of 16 of the Coupe de France. Keylor Navas helped his club in the competition by saving a penalty from Yusuf Yazici in the last quarter of an hour. Kylian Mbappé, a substitute at the kick-off, scored a brace.

The adventure in the Coupe de France continues for Paris Saint-Germain. Efficient in the first period but quite clearly dominated after the break, the French capital club finally gained the upper hand over Lille (3-0), this Wednesday, in the round of 16.

As against FC Barcelona (1-1), last week, Keylor Navas pulled out all the stops, including deflecting a penalty from Yusuf Yazici, to allow his team to move on to the next round.

The Costa Rican International and former Real Madrid goalkeeper did the same thing against Barcelona at the return leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16. The record balloon Dior winner Messi took the penalty and was blocked by Navas.

Keylor Navas is an outstanding goalkeeper, he has shown that even during his reign at Real Madrid. He showed some fine display in the Champions League last season, and he's a key to PSG's success in the final.
