Chelsea are currently one of the best clubs in the Premier League, and are one of the favourites to be this season's EPL winners.
The arrival of Thomas Tuchel to the London side saw the club improve, and they were rewarded with a Champions League trophy last season.
Thomas Tuchel's men were also victorious in the Super Cup final against Villarreal, as they won the match from a penalty shootout. With these two cups added to the club's history, no doubt they will be aiming to add a Premier League trophy this season.
The Premier League is one of the toughest divisions and only the top class players get to be successful. The Blues created a lot of chances last season, but did not have a good striker to help convert those chances into goals.
Romelu Lukaku was brought in to join Chelsea mainly to score goals and convert those chances. He has been impressive so far at the club with four (4) goals in 5 matches across all competitions.
Saúl Ñíguez was signed from Atlético Madrid to have more available options in the midfield for Chelsea. Some players on loan also joined the club and this creates a healthy squad depth for Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel has shown that with a 3-4-3 formation, Chelsea are difficult to defeat and he continues to use this formation when taking on tough opponents. A strong squad depth can be formed with this formation.
Romelu Lukaku, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz are the attacking players for Chelsea. Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are options on the bench.
Marcos Alonso, Jorginho, N'golo Kante and Reece James are the first team players in the midfield. Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Saúl Ñíguez, Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi are available to help out from the bench.
Antonio Rüdiger, Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta have proven to be the best at the defence for Chelsea, and hence they would always make the first team. But Thiago Silva may not play all the matches because of his age, and would only feature in important matches. Malang Sarr, Andreas Christensen and Trevor Chalobah are the substitutes for Chelsea.
Edouard Mendy remains the first-choice goalkeeper for Chelsea, but Kepa may make a comeback especially after his performance against Tottenham which ended in a 3-0 win to The Blues.
With these players and the kind of manager Chelsea has, there is no doubt that a major trophy would be added to their collection this season.
They now have what it takes to battle in difficult competitions with a very good chance of winning it. With these qualities of players and the options on the bench, Chelsea would be impressive this season.
