The Blues are reportedly planning to make a new bid to italian outfit, Juventus for Federico Chiesa's services ahead of the January transfer market, The London based outfit were rumoured to be interested in the 23-year-old over the summer, but he ultimately stayed in Turin as the European champions were unable to persuade Juventus to sell their biggest asset.
The Blues started talks with the Italian giants about bringing Chiesa to Stamford Bridge, offering a fee of around £86 million.
Juventus, on the other hand, were not in the mood to negotiate and categorically stated that he would not be available at any price.
According to Calciomercato, the Blues will make another move for the attacker in the coming months, despite their past failure. It's unclear whether Chelsea will consider a player-plus-cash deal to lower Chiesa's price tag after spending over £100 million on Romelu Lukaku this summer.
In today's article we'll take a look at three stars who Chelsea should use in a swap deal to get Juventus Star, Federico Chiesa.
Since Thomas Tuchel took over as manager of Chelsea in January, Callum Hudson-Odoi has struggled to hold down a first-team spot.
Under the German tactician, The Young Englishman has been forced to adjust to a wing-back role on several occasions, with varying degrees of success.
Odoi's progress appears to have slowed in recent months, and it appears that a move away is the best option for all parties at this time.
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund had already expressed interest in acquiring his talents, with Juventus also certain to profit if Chiesa joins the Blues.
Ziyech joined Chelsea last summer to much fanfare after establishing himself as one of Europe's most intriguing playmakers with Ajax.
However, the 28-year-old has struggled to maintain his form in west London, and as a result, he has struggled to get consistent minutes.
Ziyech, like Hudson-Odoi, is too far down the pecking order to earn a weekly berth in the side, and a fresh start elsewhere could be beneficial. After Chiesa's departure, Juventus will be in need of more quality in the final third, and the Moroccan international's signing could fill that void nicely.
Although a Werner swap would be an unlikely scenario in January, it may be the right option for the Blues in their chase of Chiesa.
Since his big-money transfer from German outfit, RB Leipzig a year ago, the Germany international has struggled to find his feet, and his first-team aspirations have been further hampered by the arrival of Ex-Inter Milan forward, Romelu Lukaku in the summer.
Werner, on the other hand, is still a top-notch operator capable of filling in for Chiesa at a club like Juventus. The London based outfit might save a significant amount of money if he is included in any part-exchange offer if the Old Lady accepts it.
