The armband Cristiano threw to the ground raises money for Serbian child

The captain armband used by Cristiano Ronaldo in a 2-2 draw on Saturday against Serbia was recollected and donated to a Children charity organisation who are seeking the fund to save the life of a six-month-old Serbian child.

On Saturday Cristiano Ronaldo who captained the Portugal team in the World Cup qualifiers slammed the armband to the ground after wrongly disallowing his goal which could have won them the game.

Yesterday, the armband after being recollected by a stadium worker from the field was put up for auction by a charity group that is raising money to pay for the surgery of a six-month-old boy from Serbia with spinal muscular atrophy

According to a report, the child needs about 2.5 million euros for the surgery.

Serbian newspaper Telegraf has reported that, in the first few hours of it going up for auction, it had already become a national record in regards to sporting equipment and it appears reaching the necessary figure will not be a problem.
