UEFA Champions League

2 Stat That Prove Chelsea Could Win The UEFA Champions League This Season.

The UEFA Champions League is the most prestigious European trophy for club football. Many European clubs have won the title several times, but Spanish teams are the most successful clubs in the competition. Real Madrid of Spain remain the only club in Europe with most trophies in the history of the competition. The whites have won the trophy a record 13 times.

Chelsea are the reigning European Champions, they defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the final of 2021 edition of the UEFA Champions League, courtesy of Kai Harvertz first-half strike that gave the Blues their second Champions League title in 9 years.

They started their Champions League defence by beating Zenit Saint Petersburg 1-0 in their group H opener, but lost their second group H match of the season against Serie A side Juventus.

2 Stat that prove Chelsea could win the UEFA Champions League this season.

1. Chelsea excellent defensiive statistics in 2021/22 season.

The Blues have played 10 matches this season in all competitions winning 7 matches, drawing 1 and lost 2. The Blues have conceded only 3 goals from open play in 10 matches this season. They have the tightest defense in both the Premier League and Champions League this season. Though they lost to Juventus at Turin ,but Tuchel could fix things in the remaining group stage fixtures and seal through to the knockout stages of the competition.

2. Chelsea have kept 5 clean sheets this season , 4 Premier League clean sheets and 1 clean sheets in the UEFA Champions League against Zenit Saint Petersburg in their group H opener. The Blues could top the group and play an opponent that is second in another group.

Chelsea are still favourite to win the trophy , the return of Reece James and N'golo Kante to the squad could add more fire power to the squad as the international break ends tomorrow.
