Officially the arbitration court abolishes the European suspension of Manchester City.
The Sports Arbitration Court (Cass) announced today, Monday, the cancellation of the penalty imposed by the European Football Association (UEFA) on English club Manchester City, by denying it to competitions for two seasons, due to the violation of the rules of fair financial play, limited to a financial fine of 10 million euros .
The court agreed, according to the summary of the decision published on its website, to the appeal submitted by the English club, canceled the suspension penalty, and reduced the financial fine imposed by (WIFA), from 30 million euros to 10 million .
City, crowned champion of the Premier League in 2018 and 2019, ensured qualification for the next season of the Champions League, as this season will end second in the Premier League standings, behind Liverpool, who settled the local title in his favor .
