After the restart of the season, it is finally drawing to a close with just over two games remaining and as you would expect, transfer rumours and news are building up thick and fast as teams look to do business in preparation for next season. Let's take a look at some of the news...
1) Thomas Partey:
Ghana and Atlético de Madrid midfielder, Partey has been heavily linked to Arsenal of recent but it appears that brief romance might come to an end soon as the player is set to sign a contract extension at the Spanish capital on a £135k/week deal.
2). Thiago Alcántara:
The 29 year old midfielder who has been key to Bayern's fluidity in the middle of the park is willing to leave the German giants and Liverpool are a preferred destination with the Reds willing to pay up to £18 million for his services. But, Bayern Múnich aren't willing to let him go for anything less than £35 million according to Bild,though it is expected that a deal will be struck soon.
3). Lautaro Martinez
The tricky Argentine forward has had a dream debut season for Inter Milan and he's wanted by Barcelona but, his transfer has hit a new turn as Manchester City have come into the picture and are willing to do a deal to bring him to the Etihad stadium. Lautaro, just aged 22 years has been heavily linked with Barcelona though, a deal has not been reached yet as both teams are apart on the transfer fee.
4). Jadon Sancho
The in form Englishman who has had a really impressive season at Borussia Dortmund has always been in the headlines and now, it is clearer which team he will move to but there's still the issue of the transfer fee with Dortmund not willing to budge on their £100 million valuation of him. A source at Old Trafford says that Manchester United will only pay that amount if they qualify for the Champions league and look set to do so. In essence, it's only a matter of time before Sancho becomes a Red devil, all things being equal.
5) Kai Havertz
Bayer Leverkusen and Germany star, Kai Havertz has told sources close to him that if Chelsea qualify for the champions league or not is not going to be a determinant to him joining the English giants as he looks to make a move on in his career. Chelsea and Real Madrid lead the race for his signature but it appears the Blues are ahead of the Spanish giants in the race for his signature
6). Gareth Bale
The Welsh star has been urged to move from Real Madrid has he's been an unused sub in recent games and it appears he just might be on his way to France but nothing concrete yet
