Bad news For Chelsea as star suffers hamstring injury in training

Chelsea midfield man Mateo Kovacic has reportedly pulled his hamstring in training and as a result will miss some of the blues upcoming games. The Croatian midfielder is now expected to miss the club's Champions league second leg quarter final against FC Porto. It is reported that French midfielder N'Golo Kante would be forced to come in for Kovacic, despite not being one hundred percent fit.

The Croatian man has been a fixture in the Chelsea side since the appointment of German coach Thomas Tuchel after the poor showing by club legend Frank Lampard. Mateo Kovacic has made 39 appearances for Chelsea this season scoring no goal but registering two assists from the middle of the park.

Thomas Tuchel will be hoping his midfield general shrugs off the injury and is fit for selection soon as Chelsea go through the business end of the season with their top four ambition still alive as well as the Uefa Champions league and the FA Cup.
