It was confirmed by the medical team that Partey will be out for a while. Today, the club officially released that the midfielder will return to training at the end of June. The gunners officially kick-start their 2021/2022 season tomorrow, and they will be without their star midfielder for the whole of August.

Going through the fixture list, there are two important Arsenal fixtures Thomas Partey is scheduled to miss due to injury;

Firstly, the gunners will play the Champions League and Super cup winners on the 22nd of August at the Emirates. Also, they take on League winners, Manchester City at the Etihad stadium on 28th of August, and Thomas Partey will be absent from these games which is considered as important matches in the Premier League.

Considering how important the Ghana midfielder is to Mikel Arteta's side, he will be a big miss in these ties. One will be hoping that Sambi Lokonga steps in and cover for him till he returns. For the matches this month, it is expected that Lokonga will start ahead of Mohammed Elneny.
