The Reds secured a 1-0 win over Manchester United on March 5 and it was a huge win for Liverpool. Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo netted two goals each against the Red devils while Roberto Firmino scored one goal in the match.
Liverpool dominated Manchester United in the entire minutes of the game. United stars including the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Wout Weghorst were very poor in performance during the match.
Some United supporters asked the club to strip Bruno Fernandes of his captain armband but the manager backed Bruno to continue as United captain in the absence of Harry Maguire.
The Reds were expected to continue their impressive performances following their 7-0 win over Manchester United. However, Liverpool suffered a 1-0 loss to 17th placed Bournemouth.
Bournemouth had suffered a 3-2 loss to Arsenal in their previous game and they are currently among the worst teams in the premier league. However, they managed to secure a 1-0 win over Liverpool and it was a disappointing result for Klopp.
Billing netted the only goal of the match and the Reds failed to escape defeat. Mohamed Salah missed from the penalty spot in the 69th minute. The Egyptian forward missed from the penalty spot for the first time in the premier league. Salah failed to score an equalizing goal for Liverpool and the Reds currently sits fifth on the premier league table with 42 points. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will finish top four this season following their disappointing loss to Bournemouth.
Bournemouth are among the weakest teams in the premier league but they managed to beat Liverpool. The Reds couldn't get past Bournemouth despite their 7-0 win over Manchester United in their previous game.
