How The Nigerian Premier League Table Looked After Yesterday's Match

The encounter between Dakkada FC and Heartland Owerri ended in favour of Dakkada FC and they managed to win 1-0.

Emmanuel Charles was Dakkada's saviour as his effort in the 33rd minute made the difference. They had to work really hard and defend meticulously to ensure Heartland does not get an equaliser.

As it stands, Akwa United is first on the league table. They have garnered 57 points after playing total of 31 games. Nasarawa United has 55 points and they're second on the standings.

Ahmed Musa's Kano Pillars sit third on the table while Enyimba FC occupies fourth position.

Looking at the table, the title race is very much open as the difference between the table toppers and fourth placed team is three points. The leading teams must be up and doing so they don't lose points carelessly.

The Nigerian Premier League is set to proceed today as matches will kick off by 4pm (Nigerian Time). Do you think Akwa United will still be number one on the table at the end of today's matches?
