Rightly so, Athletico Madrid appear to have bottled a huge 13 points gap over Barca. The catalan giants would have leapfrogged Diego Simeone's men temporarily if they had won the Clasico last night.
Athletico De Madrid (2nd) are only a single point above Barca (3rd), with a game in hand. They will visit the Camp nou towards the end of the season, a ground were they have failed to beat Barcelona in more than 10 years.
Athletico's last Laliga triumph was at the Camp nou, on the final day of the 2013/2014 season. Will history repeat itself this season? We will just have to wait and see what happens.
