Chelsea midfielder: Tariq Uwakwe scored on his debut for Accrington. The 20- year old midfielder joined England league one side Accrington Stanley on a season long loan from Chelsea.
The energetic midfielder made his Accrington debut on 8 September 2020 in an EFL Trophy tie against Leeds United U21s and scored a hat-trick drawing praises from his coach.
Few days later, he was handed a debut by John Coleman in match against Peterborough United in which he completed 90 minutes. The match ended 2:0 in favour of Accrington with both Dion Charles and Tariq Uwakwe on the score sheet to ensure that the home side began the season brilliantly.
It appears that this is just the beginning for the exciting prospect. Though, he is yet to make his debut for his parent club but a good season will likely draw their attentions to his potentials. We wish Tariq a successful loan season in Accrington Stanley.
