When Tino Anjorin arrived at Lokomotiv Moscow on loan from Chelsea, the Russian Premier League club broke tradition by giving him the number 10 shirt.

Lokomotiv has retired the number 10 for the past eight years in honor of club great Dmitri Loskov.

Loskov scored 128 goals in 422 appearances for Lokomotiv between 1997 and 2013, becoming him the club's all-time leading scorer.

Lokomotiv gave Anjorin the shirt because he is well regarded, according to The Athletic.

Ralf Rangnick, Lokomotiv's head of player development compared Anjorin to Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne.

Rangnick was the one who persuaded Anjorin to join Lokomotiv Moscow. Loskov, on the other side, was present to present Anjorin with the No. 10 jersey.

Hopefully, Anjorin will be able to return the enormous confidence that has been placed on his 19-year-old shoulders.

Lokomotiv is expected to exercise the £17 million buy-option in the agreement as early as January.
