In few days time, the international break will be over, and clubs football actions across Europe top leagues will resume, just like before. Many players have been loyal to their countries, and some of the top teams currently have many of their top stars representing their national team.

Chelsea are set to return to action this weekend, and they will be playing against Southampton at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard's men will be looking forward to building on their last match impressive performance, where they defeated Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace 4-0, by defeating Southampton at home this weekend.

Some of Chelsea first team players have been suffering from injury, and some of them are set to return to action in few days.

America national team captain Christian Pulisic made his return to action in Chelsea's victory over Crystal Palace, while Moroccan Winger Hakim Ziyech missed out, Timo Werner also missed Germany last two matches against Turkey and Ukraine due to injury while Edouard Mendy also pulled out of international matches for his country.

Here are Chelsea's injury update.

Starting from Germany star Timo Werner;

The former RassenballSport Leipzig of Germany star was outstanding for Frank Lampard led team last weekend as they defeated Crystal Palace 4-0, but he suffered injury in Germany national team's camp and he has already missed his country's two matches. Werner is now expected to return back to England for assessment ahead of Chelsea game this weekend.

Chelsea new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy made his English Premier League debut for Chelsea in Blues last game, and he became the first Blues goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet this season as they won by 4-0.

The former Rennes number one goalkeeper suffered an injury while representing his country (Senegal), and he has returned back to Chelsea for further assessment, and he's expected to miss Chelsea's clash with Southampton.

Moroccan Winger Hakim Ziyech is yet to play a single match for Chelsea this season, but the former Ajax Amsterdam FC star returned to action for Morocco in an international friendly match on Friday where he played the last 31 minutes. Ziyech will now be looking forward to making his English Premier League debut when the Blues welcome Southampton this weekend.

And finally, Christian Pulisic;

The American international suffered a serious hamstring injury in Chelsea loss to Arsenal in the FA cup final, and he has been working towards returning to action since then before making his return to action in Chelsea's 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the Blues last game, the former Borussia Dortmund star will now be looking forward to start against Southampton FC this weekend.
