Super Falcons of Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala has been crowned Africa Women footballer of the year, following her outstanding performance for club and country.
The former Arsenal Ladies football club star was nominated for the prestigious award by the Confederation of Africa Football CAF alongside some other players, and she has beaten other nominees to win the award.
Asisat Oshoala has been in an astonishing form for both club and national team since the beginning of last season, and her brilliant performance has never gone unnoticed.
The Nigerian international suffered a lot of injury last season and she missed a lot of matches for Barcelona Women football club, but that doesn't stop her from winning the highest goal scorer in the Spanish Femenina League.
Oshoala scored the total number of 20 goals and five assists in just 19 matches played for the club and she was able to win the League title and Copa de La Reina trophy.
The Nigerian star has now become the first player in history to win Africa Women player of the year award for the record 5 times.
Congratulations to Asisat Oshoala on her well deserved Africa Women footballer of the year award.
