Manchester United have been handed a huge boost ahead of their Europa League (EL) clash with AC Milan, as Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will now miss that match, and is even a doubt for the 2nd leg match in Italy.
Manchester United were looking forward to welcoming their former superstar striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, back to Old trafford on march 11 when United take on Italian heavyweights AC Milan. But the player has now suffered an injury during Milan's serie A match against AS Roma over the weekend, and had to be substituted in the 56th minute.
Tests carried out after the match by Milan's medical team revealed the Swede is suffering from an adductor issue, meaning he will most likely miss around 3 weeks of action. And with the Man Utd game coming up in 9 or 10 days time. Milan are set to miss his services when they take to the pitch at Old Trafford.
The 39yr old is still going strong even at his age, having netted 16 times in 24 games for his Italian employers this season. With his goals propelling Milan to within touching distance of league leaders Inter, and into the last 16 stage of the Europe league. Although it now remains to be seen how able his team are in coping with his absence against United.
