Rasheedat Ajibade Comes From Bench To Net A Late Minute Equalizer For Atletico Madrid In 1-1 Draw

Atletico Madrid Women team were in action yesterday in their 29th league game of the season away from home against Villarreal Women at the Ciudad Deportiva de Villarreal.

The Nigerian international and Super Falcons dazzler started the game from the bench due to tactical reason but was introduced in the 63rd minute for Andrea Medina and she was able to deliver at the peak.

Rasheedat Ajibade after her introduction into the game was incredible for the Rojiblancos Women at the heart of the attacking line where she posed to be a very big threat in the opposition box with several chances created, which as such got her directly involved in her team's only goal and was enough to help them rescue a vital away point.

The only first half goal scored by Fatoumata Kanteh Cham in the 42nd minute was enough to separate the two sides going into the half time break which ended one nil in favour of the host.

The tempo of the game in the second half got more tensed up between the two sides as they both put up some more physical, tactical and technical displays but none was able to found the back of the net until the 94th minute when Rasheedat Ajibade got on the score sheet to get the visitor levelled as it ended one all draw at full time.

Rasheedat Ajibade with her great influx of influence in the game will be hoping to keep the standard going for her team in their next game, with an optimism to get them back to winning ways as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
