Manchester United got back to winning ways against Crystal Palace by scoring 2 unreplied goals after an initial setback against Southampton with Rashford and Martial also on the score sheet.
Despite the win, Manchester United were very vulnerable at the back and they show some weakness that would've been exploited by a better side. Although the Eagles had a goal cancelled for offside, there were some positivity in the match as Zaha caused the United defence a lot of problems.
First and foremost, Lampard needs to deploy Giroud to lead the line once again, and to engage in some aerial battle with Harry Maguire. The Manchester United captain is the first weakness in the team and with a striker like Giroud, he's going to have a hard time dealing with him.
Secondly, Chelsea will have to shut off the space between the midfield and the attackers, as that is their only style of play. If Kante is fit before then, it would be an added advantage but if he's not, the task will have to be handled by Kovacic and Loftus-Cheek. If this is done, there'll be no flow and or movement of the ball and they'll have to force them to use the flanks which will then be a piece of cake for the Blues.
The last but not the least, is the left back position. With Timothy Fosu-Mensa occupying it, Willian will be left licking his lips as that would be an opportunity going forward. With the skills and pace of the Brazilian, a player of Timothy's calibre cannot stop him. And when the Brazilian has a good day on the pitch, trust Chelsea to win the match.
