Full Serie A Table After Tonight's matches as Napoli close in on Juventus

Napoli strengthened their claim for Champions League qualification with a 5-2 victory at home to Lazio.

They found themselves 4 goals up through Insigne, Politano, and Mertens, but were bought back to 4-2 by Immobile and Milimkovic-Savic. The match was then sealed by Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen.

Just 3 and a half minutes in, Lazio attacked at pace through Lazzari and he was fouled in the penalty area by Hysaj when he was through on goal. A VAR review ensued, which found that Savic tripped Manolas with a high foot from a Napoli corner kick. The referee gave Napoli a spot kick, which Insigne smashed past Pepe Reina.

On 11th minutes, Napoli doubled the lead. Dries Mertens laid a pass to Politano who dribbled past some Lazio players before slotting into the net.

Lazio created plenty of opportunities in the first period but could not convert. Shortly after Half-time, Insigne added the third.

With twenty five left, Napoli netted another brillant goal to make it 4 nil. This time the ball was played to the edge of the penalty area by Pielinksi after a brilliant turn before Dries Mertens scored. Immobile and Savic scored but their goals couldn't save them, before Nigeria forward sealed the match from Gattuso's side.

The victory puts Napoli just 2 points behind 4th-placed Juventus as they look to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.
