Erling Haaland has continued his lethal Champions League form at Manchester City, and last night against Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium, he scored five goals in his team's 7-0 hammering of Leipzig to qualify for the quarterfinals.

I haven't been this enthusiastic about the Champions League in a long time.

With his eighth goal in just seven games, Mohamed Salah, a standout for Liverpool this season, gave his club a 2-0 lead over Real Madrid in the first leg of their round of 16 showdown. The Reds ultimately fell 5-2 at Anfield, which is unfortunate for Salah, and moving on to the quarterfinals would be very challenging.

Salah can begin Haaland's chase tonight versus Real Madrid, and to continue the process, Liverpool must qualify as well. If Liverpool were to be out of the competition, Haaland may be on the clear path to being crowned the Champions League's top scorer this season.
