Drew McIntyre has just been crowned the Superstar of The Year 2020. The Scottish Brawler defeated 9 other superstars, including the Universal Champion Roman Reigns, the SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks, Randy Orton, The Fiend Bray Wyatt and the RAW Women's Champion Asuka, to win the prestigious award.
Drew McIntyre, in my opinion, won the award after carrying the WWE on his back, during the tough period of the coronavirus pandemic, and the restrictions, after winning the WWE Championship from former champion Brock Lesnar, at Wrestlemania. You would recall that a couple of wrestlers, including Roman Reigns, and Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, took a break from the company because of their fears of contracting the virus.
Drew McIntyre performed excellently well, with amazing feuds with superstar wrestlers like Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and AJ Styles. Although he lost his Championship title once to Randy Orton, he would be remembered for the amazing matches he put up, as well as the compelling story he told.
McIntyre even carried Team RAW in Survivor Series, during the Champion versus Champion bout with Roman Reigns, and although he lost, the both superstars put up a match of the year classic.
In summary, Drew McIntyre had a stellar year this 2020, and he clearly deserved to be named The Superstar of The Year, for 2020.
Are you satisfied with the outcome of the voting and stuff? Are you happy that Drew McIntyre is the Superstar of the Year for 2020?
