Liverpool have been one of the consistent teams in the Premier league this season after accumulating thirteen points from five games with which they are currently behind Chelsea in second position. With so much momentum on their side, the Reds will now travel to West London where they will take on newly promoted team Brentford in what will be their first ever meeting in the Premier league.
It goes without saying that Jurgen Klopp's men will be expected to come away with maximum points, but this is football where results don't always turn out the way we hope they would.
1- They Have Already Defeated A Big Team
Brentford announced their presence in the Premier league with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal on match day one. While it was a shock for the Gunners losing to the Premier league debutants, it invigorated the home side and gave them the believe that they can stay up in the top flight if they learn how to organize themselves against opposition teams.
If they have beaten one big team, there's no reason to believe they won't beat another.
2- They Have Been Doing Well So Far
For a newly promoted team to pick up eight points from a possible fifteen, one would agree that they are not doing bad at all. The Bees have only lost one game so far, they are known for playing a high intensity, high tempo, heavy-metal coupled with an attacking-minded football. To this, they must not be underestimated even though they are Premier league debutants.
Liverpool must approach the game against Brentford like every other game bearing in mind that this is a team that has lost only one game and conceded just two goals this season. Brentford have proven to be solid defensively and the Reds must do well to ensure the Bees don't do to them what they did to Arsenal.
