After 25 penalties scored, Sergio Ramos missed two penalties in a match

The Spain captain, Sergio Ramos missed two penalties in his 177th game for Spain in the 1-1 draw with Switzerland in the Nations league on Saturday.

Switzerland scored in the 23rd minute, a goal made by Remo Freuler, and they could have doubled their lead in the second half, but all thanks to the Spain captain who rescue his team with a goal-line clearance.

In the 58th minute of the match, Spain had a penalty given and was played by Sergio Ramos whose penalty was easily gotten when Switzerland's goalkeeper, Yan Sommer guessed the right way to repell Ramos' spot kick.

In the 79th minute of the game, Spain was awarded another penalty after Nico Elvedi's foul, which was then sent off. Ramos, however played from the penalty spot and his poorly taken panenka penalty was easily caught up by Sommer.

All thanks to the substitute, Moreno who saved Ramos' blushes in the 89th minute to make it a goal from Sergio Reguilon's cross.

Spain are currently second with eight points in Group A4,and must win Tuesday's match at home to Germany, who are leading the group with nine points, to progress to the final four.

After the match, Sergio Ramos said, " A hard-fought point. Time to reset and to fight for the win in Seville." He further said, " It's not the mistakes that define us, but the way we focus on the next goals."
