The game which was an early kickoff saw the visiting non-league outfit Uchecaria FC take the lead in the in the 29th minute through Simon Jonah and were able to lead their more illustration opponents through the rest of the first half.
But In the second half Abia Warriors took charge of the game after making some substitutions and tactical adjustment which Uchecaria had no answer to. And they successfully scored five goals against a helpless Uchecaria side with 2016 NPFL golden boot winner and former youth International Godwin Obaje grabbing a brace.
At the end of the game the chairman of Uchecaria FC Mr Frank Chinagorom Nwachi gave his assessment of the game to the media.
"Well, am sure everybody here who saw this game will attest to the fact that we were not a bad side, we came into this game full of confidence and that explained why we had the game in control all through the first half and deservedly took the lead which we were able to hold till halftime".
"but it's quite unfortunate that we couldn't match them tactical in the second half, and that goes a long way to show that they are a big professional side who takes advantage of any little opportunity they get, but we are unperturbed about the loss all we have to do is to go back and get things right and prepare for subsequent games", says Mr Nwachi.
Abia Warriors are preparing for the 2021/2022 NPFL season which it's commencement is yet to get a date.
