It is no longer news that Chelsea fc has secured top deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. The two players will play in the blue jersey come next season. With the addition of Ziyech and Werner to the squad which already boasts of a rich variety of attackers which include; Willian, Tammy Abraham, Hudson-Odoi, Giroud and Pulisic, Chelsea may be in a position to compete for the premier league title next season. Apart from attackers, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard also has an impressive array of midfielders from which he can choose from. The likes of Kante, Kovacic, Jorghino, Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkely, Mason Mount plus the young and impressive Billy Gilmour are options from which Lampard can make his selection. There might also be a new addition to the squad if the club successfully buys German youngster Kai Havertz. The only problem Lampard might have is on the defensive side. Throughout this season, Chelsea defence has been shaky as the manager has not yet found a suitable partnership in the defence. Antonio Rudiger , Kourt Zouma, Andreas Christensen and Fikayo Tomori have all played various times this season but Lampard still needs to discover the perfect partnership for the defence line. But with the potential incoming of Leceister's Ben chilwell and a little tweaking, Lampard might find the best partnership for the defence. With a good defence line, a solid midfield and a potent attacking line, Chelsea may be competing for preer league glory next season.
