Arsenal are considering their options as the North London giants are looking to massively improve their leaky defence ahead of next season by bringing in World-Class defenders. Arsenal are now reportedly set to agree a deal to sign A.C Milan defender and captain Allessio Romangoli.
Alessio Romangoli is regarded as one of Europe’s finest defenders and his impressive performances for AC Milan has drawn the attention of several top European clubs but Arsenal are on the forefront to complete the signing of the defensive rock.
Arsenal are leading the race to sign Romangoli as the defender is viewed by Mikel Arteta as a massive upgrade on his current defenders. Romangoli is also seen as the man to step in and improve the Gunners defence.
Arsenal have continued to show their defensive frailties in recent years and the Gunners are in need of a world-class defender to come in and massively improve the defensive line.
Arsenal defenders especially David Luiz have been culpable of high profile mistakes which has caused the team a lot of goals and points but the proposed signing of Romangoli will change a lot for Mikel Arteta. The defender will cost the Gunners in the region of £57million to complete the deal.
Arsenal are likely to form a defensive partnership of Alessio Romangoli and Pablo Mari after the deal is completed. Also, the arrival of William Saliba in the summer will also bring in more defensive stability and cover for the Gunners.
The addition of Romangoli to Arsenal’s defence will be a huge addition of quality to the Gunners backline which will enable the North London giants compete for trophies which has eluded them in recent years.
