World Cup winner Lionel Messi will be a free agent when the season ends due to the fact that he only signed a two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain after his long stint at the Barcelona football club. According to reports, the Barcelona legend has set his sights on leaving PSG, but it's not yet certain whether the superstar will return to his former club or whether he will follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and move to the Saudi Arabian League.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, on his official Twitter handle, revealed that "Leo Messi wants to win the Ligue 1, then assess his options at the end of the season — no decision now. Al Hilal has had a €400m/season bid on the table since April, but nothing has been agreed yet. Barça is insisting, but it is not easy due to Financial Fair Play rules.
The chances that Messi will stay at his present club are slim.
