Mikel Arteta have constantly talked about the rebuilding process which could see a lot of first team players leaving the club in a massive clear out. A part of the clear out job has been done in January and they may finish up this summer.
Today, it has been reported by reliable sources that David Luiz will not renew his contract at the club and will leave the club at the end of the season. This exit has pave way for a new young central back to come in. Also, there have been talks that Hector Bellerin will be allowed to leave this summer should a suitable offer comes in.
If this happens, it will leave Cedric Soares and Chambers as the only recognize right backs in the club. Though there are reports that Arsenal are looking at Lamptey, Emerson royal as a potential replacement but, many will expect Soares to be first choice right back should Arsenal not sign a replacement.
Judging from all the transfer reports circulating, I feel there are four reasons why Cedric Soares will either leave permanently or be loaned out this summer.
1. Widely reported that Bellerin will leave and we are looking for a new right back.
2. We are also looking for a new second choice left back.
3. Chambers preferred over Cedric at right back ever since he’s returned to full fitness.
4. We are looking for a new right centre back.
In recent weeks, Cedric has completely fallen out of favour. If he stays, he won’t get much of a chance. He strikes me as a character who wants to play and compete. Hence why I take a move away from Arsenal is on the cards. Let’s see!
