Current La Liga Table After Barcelona, Real Madrid, And Atletico Madrid Sunday's Showdown

Barcelona 1-2 Real Madrid:

Real Madrid moves back to the top of LaLiga by defeating Barcelona 2-1 in the first Clasico of the season at Camp Nou.

David Alaba put the visitors ahead in the first half, scoring a stunner after orchestrating a break out from the back. Madrid had to wait until stoppage time to put the game away as Lucas Vazquez pounced on a rebound after Marco Asensio was denied.

Sergio Aguero did notch his first Barca goal, but it was too little too late for Ronald Koeman's men. Meanwhile, the Dutchman is back under the spotlight after a high-profile defeat.

Barcelona is next in action against Rayo Vallecano on the road in LaLiga on Wednesday. Real Madrid in action on the same day against Osasuna at home.




Atletico Madrid 2-2 Real Sociedad:

Atletico Madrid battled back from a two-goal deficit to earn a point in their LaLiga clash against Real Sociedad. Alexander Sorloth put the visitors ahead with a close-range finish in the first half before Alexander Isak doubled their advantage with a crisp strike from a free-kick.

Luis Suarez got his team back in the game with a close-range header before he won a penalty with the assistance of VAR after being fouled in the box by Mikel Merino. The Uruguayan slammed home the spot-kick to level the scores, but the hosts were unable to push for a winner.

Sociedad leapfrogs Real Madrid at the top of the table, despite allowing their position of strength to slip.

Atletico Madrid is next in LaLiga's action against Levante on the road on Thursday. Real Sociedad also plays on Thursday away to Celta Vigo.
