Serie A

Are Nerazzurri stronger this season than last season?

Inter have proved to be not just spectacular but also solid so far in the current campaign. They have scored 20 goals in their first six games of the season and the statistics shows that the defending champions of Italy have improved tremendously, compared to a year ago. They look stronger than last year in terms of condition, awareness and overall performances.

The Blue and Black side of Milano have been superb in their first six games of the season winning four and drawing two. However, It has always been a question as to whether Simone Inzaghi could challenge for the Serie A title this season, because the early signs are promising. In addition, they play with pace and are a little more refined in the final third.

Despite losing key players in Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku as well as coach Antonio Conte this summer, the San Siro giants seem to have replaced them with similar qualities, and now seems to have different options and a very well balanced team. It almost feels as if Inter have gone up a level.

Edin Dzeko has become a fan favorite as he's already done enough for the supporters of the club to forget Romelu Lukaku. The black and blue fans have been left saying ‘Romelu Who?’ as they have scored 20 goals in six games. The Bosnian has immediately settled in and is thriving. Also, the threat that Hakan Calhanoglu provides is there for all to see as his pinpoint crossing from corners continues to result in goals.

Also, Denzel Dumfries has slotted in well at right wing-back. Like Dzeko, he's making the fans forget about Achraf Hakimi with his wonderful game. More so, their performances have been superb; a display of rugged and determination. They are sending a message to the other teams in the league that they have the quantity and quality to retain the title.

In sum, it's still early to judge as there are more matches to play before the season ends, but right now, they are winning the race. Inzaghi and his team are undoubtedly getting the message across in Italy.
