Arsenal Players Who Should Be Sold If They Want To Challenge For The EPL Title Next Term.

Arsenal really came so close to winning the league this season, but with just few matches left to play, the Gunners fumbled their chance of ending a Premier League title drought that stretches back to 2004.

Part of the reasons Arsenal bottled the EPL despite leading for more than 200 days was the lack of depth and quality in Mikel Arteta's side, so if they genuinely want to go one better next season, then they should sell these players to make room for adequate replacements.

1. Thomas Partey.

The Ghanaian midfielder missed some important games this season due to injury, and if Arsenal are to challenge City for the title next term, they need a player who will consistently be available for matches.

Someone like Declan Rice can come in for Partey who earns around £250k per week but spends most of his time in the hospital because of injury.

2. Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss international did well in the league this season, but Arsenal need fresh legs as Xhaka will turn 31 in few months' time.

Youri Tielemans who will be out of contract at Leicester should be a target as he's a much younger player that's capable of giving his best years to Arsenal whereas Xhaka's peak years are gone.

3. Kieran Tierney.

The Scottish fullback is another injury prone player that Arsenal need to sell to make way for a top quality replacement like Joao Cancelo who will likely be allowed to leave this summer.

Arteta briefly coached Cancelo during his time as Pep Guardiola's second in command at Man City, so there's a real chance he can convince the Portuguese to move to London the same way he convinced the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko.
