For the third time this season, Manchester United have failed to pick up maximum points in a Premier league game following their 1-1 draw to Everton.
Despite an Improved performance from the match against Villarreal, it was the same old story as the Red contingent of Manchester are still in the business of dropping points where they should be picking them up. In all honesty, United have had the easiest of fixtures so far and many would have expected them to be riding on top, but such hasn't been the case owing to series of disappointing results.
Blame it on whatever you may, but the truth Manchester United are refusing to accept is this, the longer they stick with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the harder it will become for them to win silverwares this campaign. Already the Red Devils are out of the Carabao Cup, they are not yet in a comfortable position in the Champion league and are currently slipping up in the title race, if results like this keeps up, it will get to a point where they will not be able to salvage anything out of this season.
With all the money that has been spent to put together a star studded squad, it is now crystal clear that Manchester United hired the wrong captain to steer their ship and that's why they seem to be sinking gradually. It goes without saying that a non-sentimental decision must be taken sooner rather than later, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have been a good player at the club, but he is certainly not a good manager. The team spirit is down, results are becoming undesirable and fans are getting really fed up with the turn of events. If the club are ambitious enough to win titles, then the Norwegian has to make way for world class managers like Antonio Conte or Zinedine Zidane.
Two and half seasons has gone by and still Solskjaer has nothing to show for the faith the club had in him, clearly he isn't the man to bring back the glory days and the longer the club keeps him, the harder it will become for them to win major silverwares going forward.
Should Manchester United Sack or Keep Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?
