Premier League

In-form Arsenal team could end Virgil Van Dijk home league unbeaten record since joining Liverpool

Mikel Arteta led Arsenal team have been incredible with their brilliant run of form so far across all competitions despite starting the season poorly, having got their campaign back on track since their last 5-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City team which was their third league opener of the season.

The North London club with their great transformation now have the longest unbeaten streaks in the English premier league and also the most number of games won since the start of September, taking their unbeaten run to 10 across all competitions.

Arsenal immediately after the international break will be playing away from home to Liverpool at the Anfield Stadium with just two points separating the two sides, after the Merseyside club suffered their first league defeat of the season to West Ham United before the break which ended their run of 25 games unbeaten.

Liverpool's Virgil Van Dijk since joining the Reds from Southampton in 2018 is yet to lose a Premier League game at Anfield Stadium which saw his game running through to 45, recording 39 wins 6 draws and 0 defeats.

Since his arrival at the club, Liverpool have also won more games than they have conceded goals while he has been on the pitch (35 goals conceded) with a brilliant record of 20 clean sheets kept in that period.

Arsenal who now sit at the 5th spot on the table with 2 points behind 4th place Liverpool after turning their fortune from been a relegation threatened club to getting their way to the top, following their stellar performance could now put an end to Virgil Van Dijk's unbeaten home run.

The most awaited and anticipated clash between the two premier league giants will be a very intriguing one as Arsenal will be hoping to continuing their unbeaten streak and also to end the home unbeaten record of the Netherlands national team captain.

Liverpool on the other hand who are more or less a wounded lion after their last shocking and disappointing defeat at the London Stadium will be hoping to get back to winning ways, with Virgil Van Dijk also at the look out to extend his home record.

Will Liverpool get their campaign back on track with a winning record against the Gunners who are currently doing wonders under their Spaniard manager, Mikel Arteta or will Arsenal extend their unbeaten run further?

Will Arsenal put an end to Virgil Van Dijk's brilliant run of form at the Anfield Stadium or will the Dutch keeps his tally going?

All these among others are unanswered questions which only time will tell as many football fans and lovers can't wait for the international break to be over so as to switch back to club football with so many things expected in the next weekend.
