In-form Nigerian star Odion Jude Ighalo has extended his impressive goal scoring form for Al Shabab football club on Friday evening, as he scored a brace in their 2-0 away League victory over Al-Ittihad football club to take his total League goals of the season to 8 in just 9 matches played.
The former Manchester United football club of England star has been exceptional for Al Shabab football club since the beginning of the 2021/2022 season, and he has been scoring a lot of goals for the club in all competitions he has played.
Odion Ighalo started in his team's attack alongside Brazilian star Carlos Carvalho and Hattan Bahebri, and the trio were outstanding for the away team in the entertaining encounter.
The Nigerian opened scoring for the visiting team in the 22nd minutes through an assist from Saudi Arabian national team star Moteb Al Harbi to end the first half 1-0.
Odion Ighalo doubled the lead in the 68th minutes through an assist from Carlos Carvalho to end the match 2-0 in favour of the away team.
The former Watford football club star was outstanding for the visitors throughout the entire duration of the game, and he was able to mark his excellent performance with a brace.
Odion Ighalo has now become the top scorer of the Saudi Arabian Pro League with 8 League goals this season (he has also scored half of his team's total League goals this season '8 out of 16 goals'), and he will be looking forward to building on his impressive goal scoring form when Al Shabab football club play their next game in few days time.
The victory over Al-Ittihad football club has also taken Al Shabab FC to the 3rd spot of the Saudi Arabian Pro League table with 15 points from 9 matches played.
