The match between Manchester United and Liverpool which ended in a 5-0 win for the Reds is the last Premier League match for game week 9. That means every team has played and once again it's time to reveal the 11 players that made the Premier League team of the week. Arranged in a 4-2-3-1 formation here are the 11 players.

Edouard Mendy is one of the 3 goalkeepers that didn't concede a goal on matchday nine. He mostly had nothing to do against Norwich but when he did he showed why he is among the best goalkeepers in the world.
Ben Chilwell's back pass took a deflection and fell to an onrushing Norwich attacker. It resulted in a one-on-one situation but the attacker's attempt to dribble Mendy and score failed as he raced back and blocked the shot with his right foot.
2) Right-back: Reece James - Chelsea

The 22-year-old right-back got the most Fantasy Premier League points among defenders on matchday nine. He did because he stopped Norwich each time they tried to go through his position and he scored a fine goal by dinking the ball over the onrushing Tim Krul.
3) Center-back: Angelo Ogbonna - West Ham

Ogbonna marked his 200th appearance for West Ham with a clean sheet against Harry Kane's Tottenham. It was another wonderful performance from the Italian defender who was the man of the match last week against Everton. The Hammers won the match 1-0 thanks to Michail Antonio who scored in the second half.
4) Center back: Virgil van Dijk - Liverpool
The Liverpool attackers were in form against Manchester United but it wouldn't have been that easy if their defense was as bad as that of the Red Devils. Van Dijk was responsible for coordinating the Liverpool defense and that is why he made the team of the week.
5) Left-back: Ben Chilwell - Chelsea

Like Reece James his teammate on the opposite wing, Chilwell didn't need to do much defensively and that gave him the freedom to constantly join the attack. He delivered some good crosses into the penalty box and eventually scored a goal. That goal made it the third consecutive Premier League match he scored in.
6) Defensive midfielder: Thomas Partey - Arsenal

Arsenal used a double pivot against Aston Villa who had 3 players in midfield. Thomas Partey's performance in one of those pivot positions ensured that Aston Villa's numerical advantage in the middle of the field didn't count.
According to Squawka Football, he touched the ball 75 times which was the most in that match, he recovered the ball 7 times and made 3 tackles which were also the most. It didn't end there as he scored the first goal of the game which was his first in the Arsenal shirt.
7) Defensive midfielder: Naby Keita - Liverpool

Naby Keita was Liverpool's defensive midfielder but he had an impact at both ends of the pitch in the match against Manchester United. He won all the tackles he went for which was one of the reasons United did not score, and also scored and assisted a goal in that game.
8) Right-wing forward: Mohammed Salah - Liverpool
Mohamed Salah was the man of the match in Liverpool's 5-0 win over Manchester United after he maintained his habit of scoring in every game. He scored a hat-trick in that game. 2 of those goals were scored in the first half while the last came in the second half. He also assisted Naby Keita's goal. He is also the player of the week after getting 21 Fantasy Premier League points which were the most of any Premier League player in game week 9.
9) Attacking midfielder: Mason Mount - Chelsea

10) Left-wing forward: Phil Foden - Manchester City
In a week in which the attackers scored for fun, Phil Foden wasn't left out as he scored a brace and assisted Riyad Mahrez's goal against Brighton. Stats from the game showed he had 94% pass accuracy, he had 4 shots on target from the 8 he attempted and he created 2 chances.
