Mixed reactions as another Chelsea FC academy player is set to leave Stamford Bridge

Fans have expressed mixed reactions after Dynel Simeu, a nineteen (19) years old Chelsea FC under-23 Centre-back, who joined Chelsea Academy at age thirteen (13), reportedly rejected a contract extension offer from the club to remain in Stanford Bridge, determined to join Southampton.

The under-23 Chelsea FC skipper, Dynel Simeu, who made a total of nineteen (19) appearances last season ( 2020/2021), had his contract with the club expired in June. And unwilling to pen down a new contract, the Cameroon-born youngster, with Southampton already knocking at his door, will leave Stanford Bridge as a free agent.

With the deal of his transfer away from the Stanford Bridge to Southampton set to be signed anytime soon, Chelsea FC is 'expected' to receive about £1.5m for the Cameroonian.

While this decision may be best for the Cameroonian who is yet to make a first-team debut with Chelsea FC, like some fans who reacted suggests, others query while youngsters, like Fikayo Tomori, Billy Gilmour (loan), Marc Guéhi, and now Dynel Simeu, are exiting the club.

Therefore, when Fabrizio Romano broke the news of Dynel Simeu's exit, saying, “Dynel Simeu has turned down Chelsea proposal to sign a new contract, and he's now set to join Southampton, on a free transfer,” here is how Chelsea FC supporters reacted to the news of Dynel Simeu's departure from the West London club:

Do you think Chelsea FC is becoming unfit for youngsters under Thomas Tuchel?
