Chelsea players returned to training today after having a disappointing performance in the UEFA Champions League this week. The Blues suffered their first defeat in the competition as they lost 1-0 to Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. The West London Team held an important training session today as they prepared for their next Premier League fixture which comes up tomorrow. Chelsea will host Southampton at the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Saturday as they look to bounce back to winning ways in the competition this season.
Well, in today's article I will be sharing the three things I observed from Chelsea's training session today so kindly stay tuned.
1, Mason Mount Returns To Training After Quick Recovery From A Minor Injury.
Mason Mount missed Chelsea's last two matches against Manchester City and Juventus in which they suffered disappointing defeats. The 22-year-old finally regained his fitness as he was present in Chelsea's training session today ahead of their next Premier League fixture tomorrow. The English International will most likely feature for the Blues when they face Southampton on Saturday.
Recce James is said to be out for 4-6 weeks after sustaining an ankle injury against Manchester City last week. The 21-year-old wasn't present in training today due to that severe injury. Christian Pulisic also sustained an ankle injury some time ago and is still yet to fully recover from that injury. The American International wasn't present in training today. Ngolo Kante was also absent after testing positive for Covid-19 some days ago. The Frenchman is currently on quarantine and won't be available for Chelsea's next Premier League fixture against Southampton.
3, Happy Faces Of Chelsea Players In Training Today.
Chelsea players showed excitement in training today as they laughed, smiled and also shared some great moments. The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Rudiger, Ben Chilwell and many others were spotted in a happy mood during Chelsea's training session today.
Here are some other photos of Chelsea players in training today.
Can Chelsea bounce back against Southampton tomorrow? Kindly drop your comments below. Thanks for reading.
