Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes showed incredible work rate in extra time vs Norwich

Manchester United kept their hopes of a silverware alive on Saturday night as they defeated Norwich at Carrow Road.

However, it wasn't an easy fixture as Todd Cantwell cancelled out Odion Ighalo's second-half opener before Harry Maguire scored the winner.

However, one of the big moments in the game came in extra time as Bruno Fernandes displayed incredible work rate having played about 126 minutes.

Fernandes started 10 yards out from the centre circle, only to sprint as far as his fatigued legs would allow him all the way to his byline at which point he managed to muscle Jamal Lewis off the ball.

After Fernandes offloaded the ball to Nemanja Matic, despite being absolutely exhausted, he was still determined to jog back up the pitch to help United keep fighting.

Bruno Fernandes made his debut for Manchester United on February 1, playing the full 90 minutes of a goalless draw at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He scored his first goal for Manchester United against Watford on 23 February, converting from the penalty spot in an eventual 3-0 victory at Old Trafford, a match in which he also provided an assist for the third goal scored by Mason Greenwood.
